UK Spousal Visa - 2.5years (Please help!)

Post by cnel3105 » Sun Apr 02, 2017 7:10 pm

Hello,

I am a U.K. Citizen, married to a South African citizen. For the last two years, we have been gathering the necessary documents to meet the requirements for him to join me in the UK under the spousal visa with the intent to eventually live there indefinitely.

On Feb 23rd, 2017 my husband has his appointment at the visa office in SA and submitted his application, along with paying £450 extra for the fast track service. We were advised three weeks by the man who interviewed my husband (and that's being generous) so he said.

I am aware that the ruling of minimum requirements has been taken to the supreme courts recently which is perhaps why we have a delay with our wait. Unfortunately, the tracking provided has been at a standstill now for weeks and we have been unable to find a contact number to phone for an update. They do cover their backs very well online as far as the timeframe for this service goes but we are getting rather impatient now as we have jobs to get back to in the UK.

Should I be worried that we are now getting onto week 6, considering we have paid for fast track service? Has anyone else experienced delays, or has anyone else previously used the fast track service for this particular visa type, if so - how long was your wait?

Thank you in advance,
Carmen

Thats a shame on UKVI part - paid nearly £500 just to sit on it for 6 weeks.
My wife's waiting for her visa in Delhi (we applied on 21st Feb) and we used non-priority service - but obviously we are very anxious now because I flew back to London on 27th Feb and we have been living in different cities from last 1 month now.
Have you enquired using the online service?
