PBS Tier 2 Dependent Visa Extension

Post by deepak1984 » Tue Apr 04, 2017 11:26 pm

Hi Guys,

I know this question has been asked many times in different forum but I am expecting and answer on how to apply a premium service appointment on my own as a Tier 2 dependent OR apply for a postal application before my visa expires.

So let me explain my situation first, I am on Tier 2 Dependent Visa dependent on my husband and both of our visas will expire in May 2017. My husband will be completing 5 years in June 2017 when he will be applying for ILR in May 2017(according to 28 days relaxation on the 5 year completion). I will be completing my 5 years for the ILR eligibility in Feb 2018 and till then I have extend my Tier 2 Dependent Visa.

I cannot book appointment along with my husband's application as part of premium service because he will be applying for a different category(ILR).

If I choose a postal service 28 days before my visa expires i.e. mid of April chances are that my visa application might get rejected because by then my husband would not have applied for ILR(he will apply in May 17). I am into very tricky situation, as I don't want to break the immigration law by overstaying after my visa expires.

Any advice or suggestion will be highly appreciated, please don't hesitate to share details of any immigration lawyer that can help me.

You can apply in person on the same day as your husband but your appointment must be separate and a couple of hours after his appointment.

You will get an extension for 3 years. Don't forget to pay the health surcharge.

Thanks very much CR001!!!

Do you know the URL to book the appointment for a PBS Tier2 Dependent on its own without the main applicant part of the booking?

Appliction is online only.

Great thanks!!

Just one last question, so considering my husband visa situation which will change in May from Tier 2 to ILR, should I be applying as a Tier 2 Dependent or apply to remain in the UK with family(ILR dependent).

Applying for ILR dependent will reset your clock to zero.
