FLR(M) and SAR Request

Post by talkhome » Fri Apr 07, 2017 1:06 am

My Wife hold FLR (M) 2.5 years visa, since her 10 years are nearly done we decided to request SAR from UKVI.

Today we receive a letter saying they need furthre information to process and verify her ID.

Is it common for UKVI to ask for further information?
Does Disclosure unit has any right to investigate cases or they just supply information?

They are bound by the Data Protection Act to ensure that the correct person receives the personal data.

You wouldn't want them to send your wife's personal data to any Tom, Dick, or Harry, would you?

You are right but we have filled the form correctly supplied all the documents as advised on the SAR form.

Four questions were asked

1. Name of Daughter and date of birth ( This is the only new information they will get )
2. Spouse name & date of birth ( Spouse name was mentioned but not date of birth)
3. Please you born ( This was already answered in SAR form initially)
4. How you arrived in the UK ( this was already answered in SAR form initially)
