Declare all earning or only what will suffice.

Post by xuforia » Tue Apr 11, 2017 9:37 pm

Hi,

I'm a new member and have looked at other topics before posting the question. I'd be grateful if the board members could answer my query.

I'm applying for Settlement via a 5year route in Tier 1 (General) category. As I need to have 80 points, I can obtain necessary point via my salaried employment. I also work outside of my job as a freelancer and make extra money. I have always done the tax return and paid right amount of tax for my self-employment. I am now wondering where I must declare my earnings through self-employment as well or just declaring salaried employment(PAYE) would suffice. The only reason I am asking is, if I want to include the self-employed earning, I'd have to include all the invoices and statements and perhaps a letter from an accountant, tax return? I usually only do it online in January the following year. So more work for me and for UKBA to corroborate.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
S
