US to UK Spouse Settlement Financial Question

Post by AmericanMom » Fri Apr 14, 2017 10:56 pm

I posted back in February when my initial application was denied because my husband hadn't been working for 6 months, but on April 30 2017 he will have 6 months of paychecks + bank statements. So I was hoping to submit my application then. He earns about £35,000/year, and we have a job from his place of employment to very his employment as well as his contract stating that he started working with them on November 1st, 2017.

I'm a little confused about one point: does the £18,600 need to have been earned in these past 6 months or will it be okay if he earns more than that annually? My husband moved back to the UK and has been working there for the last 6 months, he wont have earned £18,600 though. And do we need savings?

Should I not bother applying until he's earned that amount?

Also a question about the 6 month stipulation.

My husband stared working on November 1st 2016. I will have payslips for November to April which equals 6 payslips and statements BUT May 1st will technically be 6 months of employment. So shall I wait for 6 months of employment i.e. May 1st or can I go ahead and apply on April 30th?

Please help.

You are required to submit 6 months of payslips + the corresponding bank statements as evidence that your husband has earned £9,300 within that period

And is the £9,300 enough to apply? Just double checking because I want to make sure I cross all the Ts before I resubmit.

Providing your husband's employer provides a letter on company headed paper confirm the terms of his employment and that this is ongoing. It would also help to submit his employment contract. His salary must be confirmed at £18,600 p.a minimum.
