ILR dependant

Post by biju880 » Tue Apr 18, 2017 5:11 am

Hi,
I have secured my ILR thru 10 year long residence route in Feb 2017 following tier 1 entrepreneur visa. My 4year old son and my wife are still tier 1 entrepreneur pbs dependants. Can they continue to extend their visas as tier 1 entrepreneur dependants ? Please advise how to apply for an extension of stay.

No. They should switch to FLR(M).

They have already completed 3years as tier 1 entrepreneur dependants. Can they add this time with the time spent on forum(m) to make it 5years so they can apply for settlement.

No they cannot. FLR(M) will reset their clock to zero for ILR and they will need 5 years (2 X 2.5 year visas) on FLR(M) before they can apply for ILR on form Set(M).

Thanks for the quick response. Can my wife use her degree certificate instead of the language test. She got a letter from the Indian university stating that the degree is taught in English.

To use a foreign degree, she will need the ELA from NARIC, which costs the same as the A2 English test (test is quicker).
