Income from applicant only?

Post by Adapt2Cs » Fri Apr 21, 2017 8:17 pm

Hi!

I hope this is an easy question. I am applying for my second period of FLR (M). My (the applicant’s) salary alone (legally able to work through the FLR(M) visa) is over the minimum financial requirement under category A.

Is it acceptable to just use/claim/evidence my (the applicant’s) income to meet the financial requirement?

OR

Must I use my sponsors income and provide evidence he is in work and also makes enough to cover the financial requirement?

Thank you for your thoughts!

Also, question 2) does anyone know what application question 6.16 “are you and your sponsor related outside of your relationship” means?

1. You can use either income or joint income. You must complete all the sections of the form honestly.

2. Likely means if you married a second cousin etc like some cultures do.

Hi Char, thank you! This is a great and utterly helpful forum.

For the form, I expect from your response that I should include my sponsor's income/employment details, but as I am not relying on it to make the financial requirement, I do not need to include the supporting evidence for him.
