Seems the system update itself automatically if one can see the system update its on fixed time
every day the time it was last updated is auto i assume its not reflecting the correct status where the application is. Timeline does increase day by day i applied on 23rd may got same estimated target date 30th May. Lets see all the best

Can you guys see tracking on DFA sites..
If u see the step like the tube is filling..
My one going bit slow and one of my mate has submitted Monday..
Shows nothing in the tube ..it's says received only..
NB:tube it's like an empty tube fills and indicate how far we have to wait to receive our passport..
Just wondering how you guys seeing on ur tracking because one of my friend went by appointment but tube is just static no filling it at all..
Hi pukon_check,

Checked the progress, it's around 20-25% .
I am not too worried about it. It's just a guideline anyway. Completion date remains the same..
I was told the collection date so I am happy to collect it on 25th :)

They are probably doing checks now so I would wait one or two weeks to see any progress.
I think the "Application received" status means just that - they have received the application. It probably implies that it is still sitting in a pile waiting to be picked up by someone actually responsible for going through the application.

The status of my application has changed to "Processing application" today, so I think this is the point where someone has actually started reading my application. :)

Hi indianzeplin
Such a coincidence your citizenship application time line and even invitations from CITZ is pretty much similar as mine..
Even the passport application time line ..
But in passport status it's only received..
Not processing..I hope it will show from tomorrow is processing..
Can you please send a screenshot like before you did from your DFA website..in my status is almost 1/4 is filled out..
Cheers..

As I said earlier, I don't think the progress bar indicates anything more than passage of time. It's the status (in words) which matters I suppose.

You will probably see your status change in a day or two. After I submitted my application at the Post Office, the lady at the counter asked me to track the application after about 10 business days. She probably meant that that's how long it would take until the application starts being processed.

Thank you for the screenshot..
Well when your passport will be ready or even when it will be printed the progress bar will be at the end..so if it's moving to step by step the tube gets fill out..
However your status is saying something different so it's moving now..
Couldn't not see what's ur status saying but it's good that it's in progress..
My an post lady asked me check from Tuesday after two days of my post caz it was weekend..
An post they just know it's busy don't think they know about the whole process..
Kinda feeling you will get ur passport in the following week..
Cheers..

Not sure what you mean when you say you can't see my status because it's there in the snapshot - "Processing Application" right on top of the older status of "Application Received".

Getting my passport next week would be extremely surprising! I have seen tweets to their Twitter account by so many people whose applications continued to be processed even after the estimated issue date had passed.

Well not next week I'd the say following week you should get urs..ha
Well yes I'd not surprise if it's take that long because too many application I mean way too many and on top we are first timer so we can't hope it so quick..
Honestly my biggest concern was approval or getting the citizenship because passport will come eventually sooner or later..
Let me know if hear anything from passport office..

Thought to share some interesting fact in relation to timeline of submitted applications
the days representation might be different now as its taken from an old post from passport.ie

best of luck !!!
When tracking your passport application online you will come across the following stages:

Stage 1 of 6: Your Application has been received and registered: Applications may remain at this stage for approx 4-6 working days.

Stage 2 of 6: Your documentation is being processed: Application form, submitted documents and photographs are scanned onto passport system for work at stages 3 and 4. This element of the process takes on average 4 working days.

Stage 3 of 6: Your Application is scheduled to be checked for Passport entitlement: Your passport application is currently being checked. This process can take up to 4 working days.

Stage 4 of 6: Your Passport has been Approved: Next stage is Passport Printed.

Stage 5 of 6: Your Passport has been Printed: Your passport will be posted in the next 2 working days by Passport Express. The production and posting stage takes about 2 working days.

Stage 6 of 6: Your new Passport is Ready for Collection, or

Stage 6 of 6: Your new Passport has been posted: Please consult the An Post Tracking System for more information.

I wouldn't put too much hope guys, I have been following them on Twitter and lots of folks are complaining that their passports applications went over the estimated delivery date and still they have not received them.

I personally think that the progress bar it's not a true reflection of the current state of the application.

So my status changed to, "your passport is being printed". Any guess how long it takes after this? I sent via passport express and target issue date since mentions 30th.

That would be excellent.
The progress bar jumped from about 50% to almost 95% just yesterday.
It still shows "Printing". Hope will get it in the next day or two.
