From EEA2 to PR - durable relationship - not living together

Post by mcd2017 » Sat Apr 22, 2017 5:03 pm

Hi, I've got some questions regarding evidence of durable relationship when there's no cohabitation for the whole 5 year period preceeding PR.

I've got an EEA2 card for the period July 2012- July 2017 through unmarried EEA partner. We've lived together in the UK between 2006-end of 2014. We spent a few months abroad then back in the UK we've decided to live separate as we were having some issues (since Jan 2015). I understand that cohabitation isn't required for the whole 5 year period, and I do have enough evidence of two years living together since I obtained the EEA2 Card (Jun 2012 - Jun 2014). But do the 'two years living together' need to be the most recent, i.e. 2015-2017? Or would I still be eligible to apply?

What evidence is required to prove 'durable relationship' for the years we weren't living together (the last two)? We don't have joint accounts or children. How can we demonstrate commitment & relationship? We took some air but we still have a relationship.

Thanks a lot.
