ILR application while employer cannot get access to my CoS

Hi there,

I appreciate if you can help me with my situation.
The company I am working for (A) has been acquired by another company (B).
Company (B) has already a sponsorship license.
My CoS has been successfully transferred from Company (A) to (B)

Although I've been transferred to Company (B). They immigration portal doesn't allow them to see my CoS details as it's bound to the Company (A) .. apparently, this is how their IT system works!
The employer raised this with the home office, and they confirmed that they cannot give them access to my record!

I am applying for ILR at the moment, and I need to get the SOC code to get the application done.
My question is, given that we cannot get my current job SOC code. Is it possible to chose a code that matches my job description which might be different than the one registered against my current visa?

Will this be acceptable?

When you made the original application, you were given a CoS document which has the SoC information. Can't you find that document?

I do have the original code, it's SoC 2000 that has been mapped to a different SoC 2010 code when I did the extension.

I don't know what code my employer had chosen when I extended my Visa
