Need to apply for re-registration and contest the refusal to put your name. Strange you had done nothing about that all this while. How old is the child?

You left for good and then you thought about your visa after 5 months and now suddenly you only want to have contact with your child, based on my understanding of what you are saying.

If your wife goes back to Pakistan, you have no basis for leave to remain in the UK.

She may have basis for saying you should not see the child. She has reasons.

The purpose of the child visa is not for absent parent. It is for those parents who have been playing a genuine role in the loves of their child.

In this case, home office will expect you to go back as you have not been playing any role. You don't care about the child, juSt the visa. You will not qualify for it.

In addition to Obie and CR001's very valid comments, have you been contributing financially to your child's care :?:

You seem to have burnt all your bridges with wife and child. Her actions appears to be more understandable than yours.

Yes if you qualify, but only from your home country...not from within the UK :|

Try and apologise to the woman you have wrong, and your child you have let down and abandon, and only just maybe, she may find it within her heart to probably forgive you. Hopefully you will be decent enough to commit to the child you brought to this world in future.

You will need 200k to go into the business route.

My guess is that she reached her last straw when you also tried to make her child stay with a convicted child sex offender? Unless his conviction is overturned, you demonstrated that you couldn't care less for the safety and well being of her child.

You should do the honourable thing and leave the country. You're not fit to be a father.

Wanderer, with all due respect, people like the OP could care less about the honourable thing to do. All he cares for is his visa to stay. OP - I hope you face the consequences of your actions as does my Husband.

Can he actually do the above and claim leave? The reason why I ask is because OP's story is copycat of my Husband's. My Husband also does not have access to our child and is not registered on the birth certificate.

Extremely unlikely as there's been no involvement in the child's life.

It may well be the case that OP is working on being contrite.

So far I am hoping to see proof of contrition.

I want to be able to give hope to you, but if you don't care about this child, and have never done so all these years and don't have your name on her birth certificate, how could the lawyer say you will succeed.

I also feel that having cleared out the joint account and then making no financial support for the child since it was born says it all. :!:

I was referring to regular financial support and a share in the child's upbringing. I'm sure your wife will be grateful for the £20 contribution. :|
