Tier 2 ICT Visa to Tier 2 General

Hi All,

Myself & my kid (3 year old born outside the UK) are presently living in the UK on a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa issued in Oct, 2015. Do we qualify for settlement or ILR?

Hi All,

I am on a Tier 2 ICT long term visa valid till 07/2018 & extendable till 06/2020.

However, I came to the UK on a ICT short term visa in the year 07/2014.

Myself & my dependents shall complete 6 continuous years by 06/2020.

We are now looking for options which shall let us settle down here in the UK primarily because my kid has got used to this place and it would definitely be difficult to adapt to the home country.

Any suggestions?

No you don't as your ICT visa was issued after April 2010.

You will be subject to the 12 month cooling off period to change to Tier 2 General. Your child is 3 years old, young enough to adapt to change.

The only option is for your spouse to be sponsored for Tier 2 general and you to switch to his/her dependent. There is no settlement route (or application without cooling off) for ICT applied after April 2010.
