Naturalization

Hi

I want to ask something about my friend who will apply for naturalization soon

He amended and paid all his tax returns before ilr and got ilr through postal application. He declared correct figures of tax to HO when applying for T1 and its extension but paid it few months before ilr as he was in financial problems. he is now applying for naturalization but is worried does it fall under deception.
