Inform Home Office about marriage

Post by mul5387 » Wed May 10, 2017 2:27 pm

Hi all,

I'm an Indian national on Tier 2 visa. I've got married recently (in March) to an Indian national in India. I'm just back in the UK a week ago. Do I need to inform Home Office about my marriage? If yes, what is the best way to inform them? (online, phone, post, any form required)

Thanks

SM

No you do not. However, you don't state if you are the wife or the husband. If you are the wife and your name has changed, then yes you are required to inform HO and get a new BRP if your passport has been changed.

Assuming you will be applying for a PBS dependent visa at some point, that is when they need to know.
