Earlier this year my spouse wife was given her flrm extension 1st extension Feb 2017

Can I claim working tax credit child tax credit
I am uk born etc things have changed job hrs reduced etc lack of money but scared to claim benefits as I think it could my wife application in 2 years time. I read the grant of leave to remain five year route letter and it states no recourse to public funds (wife) which I understand but it also states below your sponsor(me) is not entitled claim or receive public funds on your Behalf

So what does it exactly mean the wording has me slightly confused

Tax Credits must be claimed in JOINT names and Child Benefit in your name only. This will be accepted for your wife's FLR(M) extension.

If you claim Housing Benefit this will be calculated at the single person + child/children rate, although all family income will be used to determine the entitlement.
You must declare that your wife is under immigration control and has no recourse to Public funds.

I sent off tax credit forms in the post with a note clearly stating my wife is no recourse to public funds etc. I guess after 2 years I'll have to apply for her extension no 2 or is it gonna be 5 years so is that gonna be indefinte
