UK Standard visitor - Multiple entry in 6 months

Post by jkcool » Tue May 09, 2017 11:20 am

Hi All,
My parents are visiting me this Summer and Autumn. Both of them are pensioners and have enough ties back in India. They have visited me in 2014 for a month.

I am having a question about the itinerary and the start date and end dates on the visa application.

Following is the planned schedule

1st July 2017 - Entry to UK for tourism and family visit.

23rd August 2017 - Leave UK

End of August: Apply for Schengen in the home country ( going back to attend a wedding )

Oct 3rd - Entry to the UK primarily for Autumn colours and weekend visits to France and Germany
25rd Nov 2017 - Leave UK

I am OK to put it as the itinerary in the application but in one place they ask for "Date of entry" to UK and " Date of leave ".

What should I put ? The duration of the stay is automatically calculated from these dates. Because they go back to India for little over a month. The intended stay calculated is not correct.

Option 1:

Entry : 1st July ,2017
Exit: 25rd Nov 2017

or

Option 2:
Entry : 1st July ,2017
Exit: 23rd August 2017

And add special note in the itinerary

Which one should I put ? What do you suggest ?

Suggest Option 1 as any stay over the intended period mentioned on the application could flag a red alert when they re-apply in future.
You can mention their rough itinerary on the covering letter
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

UK standard visitor visa - new document option in checklist

Post by jkcool » Sun May 21, 2017 10:38 am

HI All,

Just submitted parent's visa application online and in the document checklist it is asking for the below (optional) document

Evidence of family members remaining in your home country whilst you travel.

No guidance is given for this type of document.

We are providing 6 month bank statements, Pension certificate from employers, fixed deposits , property receipts etc. And all other required documents mentioned in the guidance.
