Further leave to remain(FP) confusion

Post by veryconfused99 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 7:37 pm

Hello,
Me and my mum are due to apply for extension of our LLR by July, and I have some questions I hope you don't mind answering:
-Do we need to resubmit documentation containing evidence of residence through all the years, or since our initial LLR was granted on the basis of private life where we had already proven continuous residence, there is no need?

-Do I apply as a dependent of my mum, or do we make two separate applications?

To provide some context, I'm 18, and have been in the UK since age 5. I was 15 when our first Leave to remain was granted.

Please someone help
I was looking there the FLR(FP) form:
Would I fill in the private life(10 year route) as I'm 18 and have been in UK since 5, and my mum fill in the family life as parent(10 year route section)??

Will my FLR be granted?

Post by veryconfused99 » Mon May 22, 2017 8:23 pm

Hello..
I'm currently 18 years old and have been in the UK since age 5. I'm hoping to apply for extension on the basis of private life and the fact that I'm between 18-25 and have spent more than half my life here. I've only been to my country of origin once since I came to the UK. This is essentially where I was brought up, where I identify with. I've gone through the education system here, and I'm holding an offer for Law at King's College London.
Would you say theae factors show that it'd be unreasonable to expect me to leave the UK?
Also, how would my mum apply for her own extension? Would she apply on the same application form but for Leave to remain as a parent(10 year route)? Would I be her 'dependent'? Would the fact that I'm attending university this year make the HO class me as independent now, therefore meaning they'd reject my mum??

Thanks

You should submit evidence of residence since your leave to remain was granted.

You and your mum would submit separate application forms. As you've turned 18 years old you would not be applying as a dependent of your mum. Don't forget to pay the NHS Health Surcharge fee with your application. I think you would also be required to submit evidence that you fulfil the English language requirement.

Best of luck!

So as my first LTR was granted in 2015, I'd need to submit evidence of residence from 2015 to now?
