Urgent : Application FLR (M) found invalid on fees

Post by kathylion32 » Tue May 23, 2017 12:40 pm

Dear friends,

I submitted an FLR (M) application last month with the correct fee of £811.

Today I received a letter from the home office saying ' You have not submitted a valid immigration application'

'Your application is not yet valid. We have set out on the next page what is missing from your application'

The next payment then contained payment details of ££993 (which I now understand is the increased fee) and biometric enrollment fee.

I called the home office general advice line and they told me to just pay the difference of £182. However I am concerned that the application itself may have changed too - if the fees have been updated the application would have done too

However I was advised by the home office helpline that all I need to do is complete pages they have provided in the post and there is no need to anything else

Does this sound correct?
thanks

Hello

With this letter, did you receive a green slip as the return details? If so, I would resend with pages that are new as it'll go to the case workers file.

Did the HO deduct a fee a few days after submission? If so, then pay the difference (not sure if they put this in the letter as in how!) Otherwise pay in full...

Other members what do you think?
