Tier 2 self-employment/supplementary employment

Dear all,

I have looked all over for this information. I am aware of what the home office guidance is.
I will be commencing a Tier 2 sponsored post soon as a hospital dentist. I was wondering if I am able to work as an emergency dentist on the weekends. My only concern is that dentists in the UK are classed as self-employed associates and I am not sure if that is allowed on Tier 2, as strictly speaking I am not starting my own business. I believe it is the same field and less than 20 hours (Dentistry).

I have emailed the Home Office too but I haven't heard back from them. I was hoping you could help me out.

You can work as a hospital doctor, if you would be paid paye.

You cannot be self employed. Your supplementary employment must be PAYE.
