Documents needed for an abroad student in France

Post by Dudzii » Mon May 29, 2017 12:17 am

Well Hello everyone !

Here's my deal. I have a bad history with U.K. Visa applications they refuse them for the silliest reasons so I gave up on it. ( it was a student visa I was applying for at the time)

I am now a student in France and my boyfriends family are inviting me for a week summer holiday in U.K.

Now I've already gotten the invitation letter and the deed be agreement, bank staments and copy of their passport. But now I'm wondering what documents I need to give in for the application to go as smooth as possible. Everything is already paid for (tickets, about to pay for visa appointment) and I will be living with them for that week.
So basically I won't be spending much.
How much money do I need in my bank account ?
If I don't have enough money in my account, can I let my mom sponsor me ? If so what documents will I need for that ?
And last but not least, what is the ultimate checklist of documents to guarantee me the visa? (It's going to be really embarrassing then going through all the trouble and I end up not being able to go cuz my visa is rejected )

Please help !!!!

What is your question? You have posted randomly in a work visa sub forum and provided no information on your immigration history or nationality.

How many UK visa and what visas have you applied for and been refused?

What are the 'silliest reasons' that they have been refused?

I've been refused 3 student visas on the course of 3 years. First time was because of insufficient funds (understandable) as I was unaware of the amount of funds needed for living.
The second time was because there was no movements in the account ( it was my college savings account so we didn't use the money from that account) and the third time was because my IELTS was expired 2 weeks after I gave in my application  that's when I decided I should probably just give up and try to get my education elsewhere (I was going to appeal but my uni had to withdraw the CAS so it would've been pointless)

How recent was the last visa refusal for the UK?

How long do you plan on visiting the UK?

Expect a visit visa application to be heavily scrutinised and possibly refused.

The last visa refusal was in October 2016.
That's what I thought but what documents do I need to give in for me to be on the safe side ?
I'm planning to stay for one week as stated in previous post. Tickets are already booked and I will be staying at their house.
Other than an invitation, deed agreement, bank statement and photocopy of passport from their side, what else do i need ?
And how much funds do I need ?
