Hi chan any update?
My job offer is withdrawn. It's been 13 weeks in total, yesterday the Home Office Decision Making Centre emailed to say my application hasn't been straightforward and extended checks are needed. No time scale can be given as to when a decision will be made. They are only telling me this after 20 working days since the escalation and numerous times of follow ups made. Opportunities like this don't come easy and they just ruined it. I never thought any immigration would be tormenting applicants like this.

They did not mention what sort of checks. It was an ICT visa, couldn't have been more straightforward since no proof of English proficiency or criminal record is required. I was offered a Financial Analyst position and the hiring employer just couldn't wait any longer since it's been a long time. That's why they withdrew.

ICT means you are working for a sponsor in your home country and they are sending you to their branch/client in the UK but the your current employer sponsors you. Is the sponsor in the UK a completely different company to your employer in home country?

My current employer and the UK employer are intercompanies with different legal entity names, but share the same parent company in the US. It is the UK employer that sponsors me, not my current employer. The UK employer engages an external solicitor to advise on the suitable visa type and help with the online application submission. I don't suppose there's an error in the visa type selected right?

I would have thought Tier 2 General would have been more appropriate if it is a completely separate legal entity company as you are not effectively being 'deputised' to the UK but starting with a different employer.

You know what, you could be right. My case is very unusual to the external solicitor too. They said they have not experienced such a delay before and they couldn't explain or advise why. The reason ICT was chosen was because the UK employer was worried I wouldn't be able to pass the RLMT for a Financial Analyst job. To lower the risk, they went for ICT instead, since it doesn't lead to settlement, should be easier to get a visa approval. But then again, you're saying the current employer should be the sponsor, even though it's based outside the UK?

Well ICT does stand for 'Inter Company Transfer'

https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-intracompany- ... a/overview
1. Overview

You can apply for a Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) visa if:

your overseas employer has offered you a role in a UK branch of the organisation
you’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland
you meet the other eligibility requirements
Getting sponsored
You need to be employed by a licensed sponsor to apply to live in the UK.

Your sponsor checks that you can do the job they’re hiring you for and if it qualifies you for a visa. They’ll assign you a certificate of sponsorship to prove this.

They must also give you other information you need when you apply, for example how much you’ll be paid.

Why do you think it will be a problem? Is it a shortage occupation or is the CoS wrong?

There is a seperate application form for tier 2 shortage occupation namely tier 2 shortage occupation general visa, although the forms are exactly the same , but I fear it may has caused a delay. But then again my friend didim the same and he got his visa

Hi All,

I have applied for tier 2 visa on 24th July however, no response received. I filled it with priority service but no information received that why UKVI have yet made any decisions on my application.

I read above chats and below link I used
https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus

to know the status of my application however, when i filled my application details in field then it is not recognizing any of my entered detail.

Could anyone please suggest why is this not showing my application status. What can be the issue

Thanks

Do you have a GWF number? If so then as it worked for me should work for you as well.

Yes, I have tried GWF number, IHS as well but no luck. Is there any restrictions that this link results from UK only. I am in Delhi, India right now and completed 30 working days however, still no response.

Is there any specific reason why this link is not recognizing my GWF number

Thanks,

Hello mate,

From my experience, the system will only recognize your GWF number only when it is "decided".
In other words, it is still pending for the ECO's consideration.

Take care.

I agree with sech. It recognizes your GWF when the case is decided and lasts there until the paspsort is dispatched.

Hi all,
So after a long wait, my wife just informed me that her tier 2 dependant VISA has been refused.
Reason was 'Not provding any addtional documents which shows that the marirage is subsisting'
I did not sent any photographs or chat scripts because i applied through solitor and was told that it wasn't necessary. :(
Now i am re-applying with some photographs and chat scripts.
By the way, do I have to pay IHS again?

kind regards
Kumar
How should be the photographs? and chat scripts provided? And what kind of photos? I'm applying with my partner as unmarried partner , we have two children of 9 and 6, I think that the birth certificates could be enough or am I wrong?
