this is what I got as a reply

''Thank you for your e-mail. All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As you application was received on 18th May 17, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.''

Applied on 18th May. still 'awaiting decision' status, bit frustrating. I emailed them they said it will take looong time according to date received. it seems 17th-18th May are particularly worse , case workers working on 17-18 May seems to be new starters.
when did you mailed them and to which email id ?
Send email to NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk <Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk>;

include below details
Application Date:
Case Reference number :
Nationality :
Full name:
Date of Birth:
ok thanks.
I have mailed them and update you once i get a reply.

Applied on 15 may. Status awaiting 25 may. Still the same no update wt so ever. They have a copy paste reply emailed them twice. Wt kind of queue is this where a month late applicants are jumping.

Hello All,
I am new here, just registered, I wanted to share some good news with you all. I just got the letter by post now that says my British citizenship application is successful!!! I applied on 12 May and saw the status as Decided on 1 Oct and after 12 days, letter arrived. I now need to book within 21 days to take the oath then wait for the passport itself. Best of Luck for those waiting.

How long does it take to get the letter after the online status has changed to "Decided"?

My application status changed to Decided (updated on 25 Sep) and the website states the letter should arrive within 10 working days but it's been more than 10 working days now and still no letter.

They just provided me with an update that letter was sent on 3 Oct and will arrive 10 working days from that date. I have no idea what postal service they use which takes so long to deliver. Second class is 3-5 days...

I dont think it is by numerical order. When I was waiting impatiently for my decision last month, I just curiously tried various numbers just before me and after me like -100, -50, -25, -10, -5 , + 5 , + 10 etc.... Some of the numbers ahead of me got decided and some before me was not and there is a real mixture there. God knows in what order it is allocated

You should note that you are required to return your BRP card within 5 days of your ceremony. ILR BRP card becomes invalid once your citizenship is granted.

Your approval letter and naturalisation certificate is NOT a travel document.

Thanks CR001, yep I will send BRP card after ceremony, In short I cant travel outside UK without UK passport. I will be sending back BRP card and also applying for Indian passport surrender certificate in parallel, hence can't use my Indian passport for travel.

How will you board a flight to come back with no BRP and no British passport??

When are you planning to travel??? Before or after your ceremony?? You are only British once you have attended the ceremony and get your certificate.

Sam69, Dont surrender your Indian PP, until you receive your British PP by post. It happened to one of my friend and they found themselves in unfortunate situation in an emergency.

For me my ceremony is mid Nov, however I'm travelling out of UK in 2nd week of Dec.
I'm hoping I will receive PP by end of Nov, if not I will have to use my current nationality passport, but apply a visa for my travel. Touchwood, I will receive British PP by end of Nov. :|

Dont surrender Indian PP on ceremony day immediately, you dont have to. Allow some time for it, as there is no penalty for travelling on Indian PP for 3 or 6 months I believe

Hi guys am new here...been reading comments and decided to drop mine. I applied February 16th under crown service..so it got to HO mid March and got my enrollment letter the following week and noticed my name was spelt wrong, wrote to then and got an email April 21st with an attachment of a new enrollment letter which I did April 28th.checked my status on line 3weeks later : awaiting decision may 25th....got tired of seeing same thing every time I check....finally it changed to decided 11th September...waited for 20 working days no letter so i called and was told i would hear from then 5working days...got home that same day received an Email saying my application has not been decided and they apologize as the app is still been tested. In conclusion they said I would get an email when they conclude with my application...dont no whether to scream or cry......decided to take my mind off and concentrate on other thing.....😊😊
