ILR - Ancestry Section 5 and 6

Post by lodoes_awol » Sun Jun 04, 2017 8:16 pm

Hello

I am currently completing the ILR application form and have confusion over Section 5 & 6. I am completing the form for myself (the main applicant) and my wife as my dependent. Can anyone clarify the following:

Section 5 - Home and Finances

I assume this information completed in this section is for the main applicant only?

5.5
I do not receive Child Benefit, but my wife does - do I need to tick yes to receiving public funds?

I assume I do not need to complete the boxes stating SOS code, current rate of pay, hours as we do not need to meet a minimum earnings threshold with ancestry? Or should I not assume?

5.6
The table to detail Income Source / Interval received / Amount - I don't think I need to complete this as at the end of 5.5 when it talks about minimum thresholds it states 'If this does not apply to you, please go to section 6' - however, this statement may refer only to those on a work permit(which I do not think includes Ancestry)? Can anyone clarify?

5.7
Maternity Leave - again if this section is just for me, it is not relevant, however my wife has recently finished maternity leave. Do I need to include this detail for her as my dependent?

Section 6 - Immigration History

6.3
All of our leave was for leisure and only adds up to 33 days. Do we need to supply supporting evidence for this as it was not work related? Can I just refer to the stamps on my passport?

6.12 - Please give the dates of any absences spent outside of the Crown dependencies and the UK
Is this relevant? I have already provided dates and reason for leave in 6.2

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'd rather ask than assume and get caught out.

TIA

The lengthy topic link below will be of help, the user asked many questions and had ILR success.

Proof of co-habitation and dependent documentation

Post by lodoes_awol » Mon Jun 05, 2017 8:52 am

Hello

I'm current applying for ILR - Ancestry. My wife is also applying as my dependent. I will be including the following documentation for her:
*P60s for the last five years
*Wage slips for the last 3 months
*Proof of employment
Is there anything else we need?

What do I need to provide to prove co-habitation for the 5 year period? All of our utility bills are in my wife's name. Our bank statements are in joint names and I will be including these as part of the application - will this suffice? I do have other bills that are in my name showing the same address as my wife - is this another alternative?

Sorry if this has been answered before - I have lost the search function on this forum so can't search for an answer.

TIA
