documents and passport return / payslips

Post by Laurieeee » Wed Jun 07, 2017 10:49 am

Hi!

I have 3 quick questions:
1. How long on average does it take for HO to return passport?
2. Does HO return the documents? If we are required to send original documents I would like them to be returned to me.
3. Is it worth including ALL payslips? I read somewhere not to do so, but I would like to have a rock solid evidence..

1. It seems to vary considerably. In the three cases where I've done it, it's never taken more than two weeks to get them back; once in about 5-6 days. Other people have had to wait weeks and send repeated requests. There seems to be no pattern.
2. In all cases I've received back everything I sent in.
3. In the EEA(PR) Guidance Notes v3.0, Section 9, p.12, it says if you can't send in 5 consecutive P60s (the preferred evidence per Annex H), "then please provide 3 payslips (monthly or weekly) for each year, ensuring there is no more than a 6 month gap between each document. Ideally these should include March's payslip for each year and 2 other payslips no more than 6 months apart, or a letter from employer(s) confirming period(s) of employment and annual earnings."
