Help!!!!

Post by b4r1786 » Fri Jun 09, 2017 11:53 am

Hi

I am looking to submit an application on behalf of my wife within the next 2 weeks. I will have all the relevant documentation in the next couple of days and have made sure it is all consistent and compliant.

All I need to know is that when I come to submit the online application, it generates 2 declaration forms for the applicant to sign. Does the applicant sign and submit these when she goes for her appointment in her own country for biometrics etc OR does she need to sign and return these to me in the UK and I then send these with all the supporting documents including the Appendix for Financial requirement to Sheffield??

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your response.

It would help if you stated in which country she is applying from? There are slightly different requirements on the process depending on where the application is made.

Thanks. I have read through both posts. However, on one it states that the applicant must submit the case at the visa application centre (in Pakistan in my case) and in the other it suggests it needs to be sent to Sheffield.

Can someone please clarify this for me.

I really miss my wife and don't want any problems/delays.

Thanks again.

You need to do BOTH. The visa application center will take digital copies of all your originals and upload them to Sheffield while you will have to then send all those originals to Sheffield by post (along with a return envelope) for verification.

Hi

You dont need to do both for Pakistan. As per changes implemented nearly 2 years ago

https://www.gov.uk/government/world-loc ... n-pakistan

Applicant needs to take following for their appointment

Current and previous original passports
Application form signed by applicant.
Visa fee payment copy
IHS surcharge paid copy
Priority fees payment copy *if paid for priority service*
Appointment letter

All the documents will be sent to Sheffield with return envelope by sponsor

you can confirm all these details from this link which was provided earlier

It seems there has been changes implemented from 1st June 2017 on Gerry's website which states that :

***A scanning process for settlement supporting documents in the Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Mirpur Visa Application Centres has been introduced. This will affect where you need to send your supporting documents. Before you visit the Visa Application Centre please click here to view the details***

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/Pakistan/how_to_apply.html

Whereas i cant find any updates on UKVI website as well as any mentioning of this change on Pakistan timeline post here.

Anyone who has applied in last 2 weeks from Pakistan can guide you better as if to do the both.
