Tripple nationality

Post by icapx3 » Sat Jun 10, 2017 4:18 pm

Hi there, I'm not sure if I'm on the right board but basically I'm wondering what nationality my son is entitled to.

I have dual citizenship, Brazilian and Italian. Brazilian because me as well as both of my parents and all of my grandparents were born in Brazil. Italian because my mothers grand parents and everyone before them were all born in Italy. I acquired my Italian citizenship about 8 or 9 years ago and have lived in the UK ever since.

This year I had a son who was born here in the UK. His dad and all of his dads lineage is British born.

I know my son is entitled to British citizenship and I've applied for his British passport. Now I wonder if he is entitled to Brazilian and Italian citizenship as if he is, I'd like to apply for them already also while I'm on maternity leave and have free time. But I'm reading mixed things which say triple citizenships aren't allowed? Can someone please tell me if it is and the best way to go about it, or where I can get reliable information?

Best regards,

vinny
