Naturalisation - Employment History

Post by London0217 » Sat Jun 10, 2017 7:11 pm

Dear Forum

I have a question regarding the naturalisation form and employment history specifically:

1. I was a SHAREHOLDER with a 50% share not a company's director) of a limited company. This has been registered with HMRC and is visible on their website as well. However the company and myself included never made any money. I am no longer a shareholder and my former business partner continues to be a director so the company is still running under her name, though still hasn't made any money. Do I have to declare this period as an employment history?
2. I didn't write down this period in my employment history. Shall I ring HO and inform them of the shareholder status as it came to my mind that in case they look into my file with HMRC they might think that I was hiding something. I thought that this information is not relevant as I wasn't a company director.
3. Also is this a reason for an application to be refused or would they come back to confirm details of employment history?

Thanks for your help
