UK Fiance visa - the applicant's rights?

Post by dollybird118 » Sat Jun 17, 2017 2:25 pm

Hello all

When in the UK on a fiancé visa (note NOT a marriage visitor visa) - in the period leading up to the marriage and before the grant of a spouse visa - can the non-EEA partner:

1) register with an NHS doctor/dentist
2) open a bank account
3) apply for a UK Provisional driving license?
4) take a paid first aid course (or any private course, for example) to aid job prospects on the grant of his spouse visa

(The non-EEA fiance will be in the UK on a fiance visa, and will then apply, in country using an FLR(M) for a spouse visa - it's this interim period that I ask about - what his rights are when on a fiance visa)

Many thanks

Why have you registered a new username asking exactly the same questions? This is not permitted on the forum. Suggest decide which one you wish to keep otherwise both will be banned.

I didn't receive answers to that question, as you merged it with previous questions and no one then replied. Got my answer now - thank you Wanderer, so I shall delete all accounts. The tone isn't great here.
