Moving to Spain while waiting for RC

Hello,

I'm a french citizen, and my partner is South African - we're living in the UK.

I just got a job offer in Spain, and I honestly don't know where to look for information anymore...

Her EEA permit is expired, her last Schengen visa is expired and her Residence Card hasn't arrived yet (applied on 3rd May, still haven't received the biometrics nor the CoA, despite many follow up calls and emails).

I read on the Spanish Schengen application website than my partner needs a valid UK residence permit in order to apply for the Schengen visa. Called them and the guy also didn't know, he advised me to send an email, but still no information.

Damn, I'm lost... Please help.
