Just wanted to see whether anyone has experienced a request to compensate funds for the processing of their application?

I've finally received my visa but had the following experience which has resulted in financial cost / loss of income.

* Applied for Tier 2 general on 10/04 from Auckland NZ (Priority Application)
* Posted documents to private bag
* Received email from Sheffield on 10/04 noting receipt of biometrics
* Received email on 27/04 that application not straightforward
* Received another email on 18/05 that application not straightforward
* Received another email on 19/05 that application not straightforward
* Received email on the 08/06 requesting i scan my documents
* No correspondence and passport received in the mail
