Tier 2 Dependant or ILR Dependant

Post by Rambo_ILR » Thu Jun 29, 2017 7:52 pm

Dear members

I obtained my ILR last year October through Tier 2 route. And my wife still on tier 2 dependant visa. She is currently in India with our baby (born in India).

Her visa is going to expiry this October. I would like to know whether she can extend her same tier 2 dependant visa from India before applying for baby child visa

She has been in tier 2 dependant visa last four years. I know if I apply for ILR dependant visa for both then that would reset her time towards her ILR.

Any suggestions please

Thanks

An extension is only applicable to applications within the UK. Applications outside the UK is a new entry clearance visa.

She should try return before her visa expires and apply for an extension to avoid risking breaking her continuous residence.

Help Needed, Tier 2 Dependant Extension:
Hi ya am applying for an extension visa for my Wife. I was on Tier 2 PBS General Visa and she is on Dependant Visa. Now am a British citizen and now applying extension for my wife under the same category as Tier 2 Dependant. I was filling online application and on the last page I was directed to go to IHS (immigration health surcharge website), I filled all my wife's details and when it get to Payment, it is asking us to Pay 2000GBP. We are applying for only 3 year extension visa, and are expecting to pay only 600gbp. the application is locked at that stage and every time I open the application freshly, it is reaching payment section asking for 2000GBP. How can I delete those details on IHS website and fill the details again ? Please suggest. Thanks
