Application type (FLR(FP); me and two dependents
Application Submitted on :26/10/2016
Postal Application
Acknowledgement Received on I don't know it was received by solicitor
Biometric Letter Received : yes Feb 2017
Biometrics Enrolled on : Feb2017
Additional Documents Requested on (if any): NO
Decision of Application : Awaiting Decision
Date of Decision :------------------- Still awaiting
I have been checking the online status check daily with the SAN awaiting decision. I have requested return of passports for renewal as they are going to expire soon, just got a call back saying that they can't release passports while application is open! I have contacted the local MP. I haven't lost hope yet, but it's getting its toll on our lives.
This lengthy topic is mostly for spouse visa applications from outside the UK. FLR(FP) is more complicated and you should post in the appropriate FLR(FP) threads please as these applications can take a substantial amount of time to be decided.simil wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 4:04 pmHi everyone,

Christ-Believer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 5:34 pmHi everyone,
First time posting here.
I applied for my wife's spouse settlement visa from New Delhi, India in December 2016.
We've now been waiting 168 working days (over 8 months) and still no decision.
Below is our time line:
Type of Visa:
Spouse settlement visa (non-priority)
Country applied from:
New Delhi, India
Date when application submitted online:
4th December 2016
Date of biometrics:
30th December 2016
Date passport submitted:
30th December 2016
Received by Sheffield:
4th January 2017
17th March 2017:
Awaiting A Decision by Entry Clearance Office
Contacted local MP:
29th July 2017 - letter sent to Home Office (still awaiting a reply from them)
Our GWF reference number is not recognized by the online tracker below which means a decision has yet to be made:
https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... isastatus/
The UKVI tracker also shows our application as 'In Active' which is has done since we first applied last December.
We've contacted the UKVI call-center and emailed them many times with no hope as they can only escalate it.
Our 1st year marriage anniversary is now fast approaching.
My faith remains strong in God despite the long wait and my advice is for others to pray in the name of Jesus Christ for a fast decision.
I will update everyone once we hear a reply.
In the mean time if you have any suggestions or advice let me know.
@ChristBeliever - Welcome to 2016 Club. I also applied in mid Dec 2016 and waiting.. dont worry. i believe in a month we might get.....Christ-Believer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 5:34 pmHi everyone,

I agree with you no point wasting time and money on chasing. I applied for my spouse and daughter I ticked all the boxes and meet eligibility criteria but still I have been waiting for 22 weeks and no decision. I have not seen my daughter enough and she is 10 months old. I just want them to make a decision either its refusal or acceptance. they keep giving generic response if no response after 24 weeks I will withdraw application.
J05h wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 6:39 pmHi guys,
Congratulations to those who have received your visa. However, to those who are still waiting for HO response like me, all I can say is to be patient. I share the same frustration for not being able to work and lead a 'normal' life. Below is my timeline for your reference:
FLR FP 10 YEARS (Private life as a Partner)
Application type: Premium Service (Inside UK)
Application date: 20/02/2017
Biometric and IHS all done on 20/02/2017
Result: Case not straightforward
Attended marriage interview on 30/03/2017
Additional information request: 03/04/2017 (letter dated 31/03/2017)
Additional information sent: 04/04/2017
Online tracker: Awaiting a decision (updated on 25/05/2017).
Contacted local MP for assistance on 13/06/2017. Received reply on 16/06/2017. MP made an enquiry to the HO. MP advised to get in touch if no news is being heard within 2 months.
HO replied MP on 05/07/2017 as saying that they were not able to provide a timescale.
Total waiting time: 6 months and 9 days.
If you are applying inside the UK and are trying to call 0300 123 2241 to enquire about the status of your application, please do not be anxious if no one answers your call. I tried calling at least 5 times a day since 26/05/2017 but to no avail. I only managed to talk to a representative on 18/08/2017 and that was to my surprise which I almost gave up calling them. Feedback obtained was 'to wait'.
NB: I am married to my partner who is a British citizen.
I hope my input helps some of you who are in the same boat with me.
Cheers,
J

On 15th August, after 6months, they have emailed us saying the decision has been made! (Which is a good thing after waiting) BUT they will email us about collection of he documents within 10 working days! - (we only got this email after chasing them)
It's been more than 10working days now, they haven't emailed us, we can't track it, when we called, they can only escalate. Which is BS.
Does anyone else have this issues with them? Please help!

It is subjected to the complexity (straightforwardness) of each application. Although there are many people whose applications have exceeded the standard processing time, there are applicants who have received decisions within weeks. Do try using other reference numbers like IHS, mail tracking no., and etc. I have different dates for difference reference numbers
To be frank, I am getting numb waiting for the decision. I wish you good luck!

J05h wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2017 8:17 pmI am actually thinking of relocating too! But before doing that, make sure you have taken all possible steps to expedite your application. As explained in my first post, I am staying in touch with my MP and she has escalated my case twice. In my opinion, getting MP involved is to get an immediate update and not immediate approval (which some may have misunderstood).
If you applied via priority post, I would advise you to contact your MP immediately because it may take some time for the office to reply due to the high number of enquiries they receive per day.
Take care and all the best to you!

Did you check to see if your GWF number is recognized on the online tracker? You need to type the entire number including the GWF. Also, how do you know the decision was made? Did you email them using the paid service and they responded to that?
Btw, where are you applying from? Depending on where you apply, I'd be able to give you a good indicator of where your passport might be currently. We applied from India and the passport is held by the VFS/VAC where we did your biometrics. Pakistan on the other hand, the passport is held by the local BHC. What this means is that your visa (if approved) is shipped to the center holding your passport from Sheffield. And this is why they say 10 working days for your decision to reach you.
This info was provided to me by the UKVI customer service people and
