Do you reckon people who applied early sept will get an answer anytime soon?
Arsalan, I have been waiting since March, people have been waiting since Nov/Dec/Jan so I doubt it. Priority is a money making game.

So following the 31st October email and not straight forward email, just received another email regarding the documents.

"Further to our recent e-mail confirming the receipt of the application above we have not been able to locate the following documents with your application: The documents that i have already sent once. It has taken them 9 months to realise this?!?!
Bloody joke that. Those 9 months seems like the application was sitting in a pile of dust.

Hi
I called Uk visa and immigration today for the third time after the 15 days of escalation were over and still no reply.
The operator said that my escalation was automatically extended from 15 days to 20 days cuz there is an update in my case and that i ll be soon contacted before 18/10.
He couldnt tell me the nature of the update ( wondered if it was the 31st Oct email everybody is talking about cuz i havent recieved it yet).
He just told me to be patient and even wished me good luck and to have a nice day!

By far he was the best operator so far.
(last time i called the operator told me i cant escalte my case even though i m over 75 working days)
Keeping my fingers crossed 😀😀😀😀

What waiting game have you suffered? We have been waiting since December 2016!

Some people have been waiting since November 2016 with priority.

I hope you don't have to wait as long as me and others have been waiting but you have to understand that you might have a long wait ahead of you especially as it hasn't even been 60 working days since you applied!

For those of you that have had a 'not straightforward email', do you always get called, or your employer get called. I mean, is there anyone who has had the email and not been contacted in any way and received a decision. I'm just really nervous about them calling me! I have nothing to hide, and of course everything is legit, but I'm an anxious person so I'm kind of worried.

Also, if you've had this email, how long after do people tend to get a decision?

There are members who got their visas/decisions after getting the case not straightforward email. But nobody can tell you how long after the email it will take.

Them calling you or your employer depends on why your case is not straightforward from their point of view as their could be many reasons as much as I have seen

1. Missing IHS for child.
2. Doubts about job/financial circumstances
3. Missing/incorrect English Language evidence
4. Sometimes they even ask for some documents which were already submitted

If you still haven't got the reason for case not straightforward try chasing them through call or email or by your mp to find out.

What was the decision for your sister's spouse ??

Hi Raj, I had "not straight forward" email in march, then 31st october email, again not straight forward email and now docs required email.
Have they tell you which documents are missing or have they lost the whole package ??

Send them the documents receipt if you sent them signed for or if you made a spare copy do send that.

I have got the same email at 6.52pm uk time.
I am still waiting.
Biometric on 15.03 in Mumbai India
Documents reached on 17.03. haven't received anything back.
Have got case not straight forward on 58th working day after biometric. Have followed up but haven't got a concrete reasoning for the same.
Sponsor hasn't been contacted.
We have written to the MP and we have received a confirmation that he has enquired at the home office.
I haven't received any communication from UKVI since the 31st October email.
Eagerly waiting for a decision to arrive.
I wish all of us who are waiting to unite with their loved ones get their decision soon.
