N can u plz check your visa4uk site status now n tell us what status it shows now as your decision has been made.

We have had our decision made since 7th October. Status for application at visa4uk still shows complete. It turns to inactive after 120 days on the website and not indicator if decision has been made.

I emailed them today and this was their reply. Does anyone know if they have dispatched the passport yet or how long are thry going to take?

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone. If you have requested a courier service, you can track the location of your travel document on line. If you have opted to collect your decision from a VAC team they will notify you that your documents are ready for collection.

Updating my timeline again

Application online - 2/7/17 piority
Biometrics - 12/7/17
escalation - 13/9/17
not straight forward -24/9/17
called for escalation 6/10/17 (found out decision made on the phone)
decision made email 10/10/17 ( they stated decision made on the 25/9/17)

Today makes it 23 days decision was made but have not received passport or email for collection. Called VAC ysdy and was not given any information and was redirected to go online and call the same paid HO number or email. I was distrot. went to VFSglobal page to log a complaint and received this email today.

We are very sorry to hear that you still have not received your passports. We do not understand why UKVI Sheffield has mail your passport to The British High Commission. Once a decision has been taken UKVI Sheffield mail the passports directly to the applicant address. We will contact The High commission immediately and will ask for your passports. Once we have more information we will contact you immediately.

Can anyone help... I called Home Office again yesterday. They advised by file has been closed therefore can not help further. They stated i am to contact the people applied on my behalf for my husband VISA. But they have had no email or letter.

If a decision was made on 29th September surely i should have a reply by now. I'm getting no further assistance from Home Office. what do i do..

Well, my journey is not quite over but finally I can share that my Wifes Application for Spouse Visa was GRANTED!!!!!!!!

It was granted on the 13th July, vignette issued 21st July to 20th August!!!

Thank you so much to everybody who suppported, advised and shared our journey. We are especially grateful because we did not use an agent or a lawyer and when we needed help it came from you guys.

I wish everybody who is still waiting the very best of luck and will be keeping my fingers crossed that you all get positive news soon.

Right, now the not so good news and everybody who has applied from Russia TAKE NOTE.................

My wife still does not have her passport back. She went to TLScontact today in St Petersburg Russia and demanded it back. They told her they did not have it.

I called my MP. My MP called Sheffield, they told my MP the Visa is granted that is how I know the decision and the dates of the vignette. They sent everything to Russia last month already and do not know why my wifes passport has not been returned. They are genuinely shocked and will follow up very strongly with the Consulate and TLScontact in Russia next week to find out what has gone wrong and get my wifes passport returned immediately. They are also willing to grant special dispensation if necessary due to the unusual circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE: My circumstances were regarded as exceptional because the decision was made and the Visa issued weeks ago and is already part expired. That is the only reason they shared the decision with the MP. Do not expect to be treated similarly unless you find yourself in this position.

Honestly, my life is turning into a soap opera. I'll update you on the next installment of the saga when you tune in next week lol

This is from another thread, but same thing happened with another member.

You need to contact your MP, go to VFS office, Call them. Any possible way you can contact and put pressure on them. Ask for your passport. Problem in all this delay is by the time you'll get the passport your vignette will already be completely / part expired. If it expired and you haven't registered complaints officially you'll have to spend extra money and wait more time to get vignette renewed.

I hope you get your visas soon.
