my son visa granted but wife no decision yet!!(???)

Post by abufawzan85 » Fri Oct 20, 2017 9:13 pm

Hi all

I am waiting since February for my spouse and sons visas.

Not straightforward emails received & 31 oct emails.

OCT 16th i got an email for my son to collect his passport.

I spoke to my lawyer to ask why only my son received docs and not wife and he said maybe they are in one package, my wife and 3 year old son went to collect and alhamdulillah my tiny SON’S passport has visa!

Travel on my son’s date is 7th oct to 5th november.. but he cannot travel without his mother as he is only a wee 3 year old..

I contacted ukvi and they said a decision is still pending for the wife but your son’s was made on 29tg sept.
So now i am in a dilemma, my lawyer states that this is a strange case as its not really happend before with their other clients??

If anyone else went through this or is going through it please reply and give me some words of comfort, i am in extreme stress right now.. may Allah make it easy on us all ameen.

This is not the first time they have done this, i have read a few cases like this where they have made the split decisions while they were submitted all at same time.

this is a recent example but luckily they get the decisions in time to be able to travel together.

You can request for a new vignette here so your wife and kid can travel together.

I hope your wife gets her visa in time.

31 october email received

I have lost all hope. Visa rejection at this point would be too much. I would just give up. Took two months to just receive the A1 language test results that i needed to apply for spouse visa. I am very unlucky in life nothing ever works in my favour. Hope the ones from November/December 2016 get their decision and those from January/Feb 2017.
Hi I also waiting from 3 March. Still waiting no update after 31email.no interview no call on work and sponsor. I dnt know what they doing.

Hi thank you for replying metanoia, i have read that case already before but theirs seems like a different case where the child’s IHS fees was not paid and It seems family was not aware until the recent enails any at the decision time for the childrens’ father’s visa.. mine looks like a unique case, do you know if there had been cases as such where a child was given before mother?

And can you quote or reference the cases where the parent did get visa on time too to accompany the child to travel.

Many thanks

Hi,

Does anyone know when the ECO contacts the applicant, do they have a hidden phone no or do they call from a local UK no. My wife got a call for a hidden no and she missed it and she is worried if its the ECO who called her.

Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Guys happy weekend. Congratulation to all that have received visa.
Just holding on to God. It's 26 days since a decision was made and I still have not gotten my passport or have an idea if our settlement was approved. Nobody to hold accountable. I called HO to escalate again.
Has anybody experienced it? What if munch vignette expires, how long do I have to wait to get a new sticker. I really do not want a new sticker. This is hard truly.

Thank you Smarter1
A question, we can visit the UK without visa, since Trinidad is exempted from visiting visa for 23months. if we are approved can we go with that and collect BRP.

Hi guys,

Anyone knows what it even means when the HO immigration status site says "updated on 3rd October". What do they actually update on? probably a silly question but curious.
Thank you

I got told through phone decision has been made which was on the 4th october.
I really don't understand why they are taking so long just to inform us. My husband has been waiting. I hope they will contact us before the 31st October it usually takes 10 working days. Did you get the 31st email to?

If your wife get her visa before the expiry date of vignette sticker of your son then they boht can travel together . if she get her visa after the expiry date of visa of your son then your son can apply for new 30 days visa sticker and dates on biometric will also be different so make sure to contact the biometric error team once arrived in uk and after collecting BRPs so that they fix the date of biometric so that you don't face issue when apply for extension

It's a new week hope everyone will get their decisions and happy news. Does anyone here from Sri Lanka waiting more than 75 working days without any reply from HO. Hopefully this week will hear good news. Good luck for everyone waiting for their decisions.

I got a job offer but i fear that if I switch jobs it might affect the application. It is however above the threshhold of 18600. Its been 141 working days know, and they did make enquiries in my workplace, I do understand that I would need to provide my work evidence into home office. What do you guys think? A wise move or.... Will it delay the application even more or perhaps make them pick up my application and make a decision. who knows with the workings of the Homeoffice

Whilst the application is still with the HO for consideration, it would be risky to change a job in my opinion.
