I’m on working day 136. Submitted on 24th April in Tirana, Albania. Received nsf, on hold email, 31st October email and the email sent on 30th October saying they are working through applications etc.

This wait is awful, life is literally on hold until then. Can’t make plans, nothing. Waiting to move House but can’t as I don’t want to disrupt the process in case they make checks on where I live. The whole thing is torture. Family are asking what are my plans for xmas but I can’t tell them as I don’t know if I’ll be in England or with my husband in Albania. It’s awful. Kids missing their step father but they’re too young to understand why. Just trying to be strong for my family and praying to God Almighty that my family can be reunited properly. Rather than being torn apart.

Hi everyone. I've been following this forum for a while now. I just want to add my timeline...

Application Category (Priority): Spouse - Wife
Online Application Submitted on: 11/08
Biometrics & Passport Submission (VFS Manila): 04/09
Supporting Documents Received at Sheffield (Scanned at VFS Manila): 04/09
Online Application Acknowledgement Received via email: 04/09
31st October email: None
Not Straightforward email: None
Another 'Busiest period' email: None
Application Decision: 17/10
Passport Collection: 18/10

Spouse Visa granted: only 31 working days total from the day of Biometrics submission! I’ve expected it to be a much longer wait (at least 12 weeks). What a miracle! God hears our prayers indeed!

I’ve been away from my husband for more than 5 months! My daughter (British citizen) and I are flying back to the UK very soon. It’s been a long and hard journey for us as a family. I’m praying that God will give grace and patience to everyone who is still waiting for a decision. Keeping you all in my prayers!

Hey guys
I just got this reply for a enquiry made mid October

"Thank you for your enquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay in making a decision.
The application is in the final processing stages and a decision will be made soon."

What does this mean?

Hi

Don't worry you will hear from VFS Colombo to collect your passport from new week starting from Monday. As far as i know after decision e-mail it will take another 10 business days to collect your passport. So you will hear good news soon. Keep your good hope always. Good luck to you. Update us as soon as you hear anything. Hopefully we all get visa soon.

Hi GiveZemra, i have recently submitted a Settlement (priority) application and my decision center is Warsaw. I was wondering if your application goes to Warsaw too?

Has anyone elses application been sent to Warsaw? I only submitted recently.

I'm a bit confused. When my husband went to get his biometrics done, they said to him that the supporting documents is being sent to Warsaw. There was no mention of Sheffield. Surely it is just being processed inWarsaw. What is the point of sending it to Warsaw then Sheffield?

Also take a look at this: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... _spouse_fi . This surely proves that they do handle settlement visas.

Do you have a contact telephone number to someone I can speak to about reapplying for my wife as she got refused from Delhi and her viss expired in India and have to wait 2 months to get another visa from Afghanistan to india again.

I am intending to get her a toursit visa to Turkey from Turkish consulate in Delhi then get Iqama/residence permit then reapply from TLS istanbul

I applied in March, had nothing from them apart from the 31st Oct email. Waited pariently, still nothing. Hoping to go and see my MP on the weekend, see if anything happens.
Really frustrating, as some of the applications made from July onwards, seem to be processed a lot quicker. (Within the timescales).

VISA GRANTED!

Date of biometrics:
30th December 2016

Date when application submitted:
30th December 2016

Date of submission:
New Delhi, India

Received the emails they sent out:
Not straightforward in August
October 31st email sent on 25th Sept

Never received the email end of October that they are still working on case.

Decision made email sent:
1st November 2017

Passport collected:
3rd Nov 2017

I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds calling UKVI call centre every week since June as well as chasing MP but in all honesty none of them did and could of done anything.

My decision was made according to God's will and having faith in the risen God Jesus Christ.

I was one of the oldest applicants waiting here having applied last December 2016.

My total wait was:

216 working days (308 calendar days).

This was one of the hardest things to bear but God never left my side and was always with me and my wife.

Have faith in the risen Lord as there is power in the name of Jesus Christ.

I hope you all get your decisions soon.

God bless.
