Hi everyone I've not been on here quite recently as I feel more depressed especially seeing timelines after mine which are granted visas long ago...i try not to be sad but i worry thinking why the long wait? its been more than 90 working days since I applied for my husband n going to be 5 months in 2 weeks...the advice I would give everyone is to wait atleast 3 months before contacting ukvi as that is their deadline n keep checking emails...i believe those applying 2nd time like myself are sent not straight forward email and waiting a long time...maybe because they of the refusal from before they make more enquires and checks...but it's best to just be patient n whenever u ring they will say it's in process....yes we know but why the long wait...n after windrush controversy I've lost faith HO even more...i pray for u all and congrats to all those who have recieved visas, pray for the rest of us...keep faith in allah...he is the best of planners...

@ Halisonu5

I can understand your frustrations as i have been going through same. I applied for my wife and son on 15th Nov 2017 received not straightforward E-mail on 6th Feb 2018 and asked to Pay for Child IHS on 13th April 2018 after escalating my application. It going to be full 6 months in a week time and at present its 114 working days.
its our first application and taking ages for unknown reasons. They are still unable to decide. All we can do is hope and keep patience. :(

I have submitted a Priority application for my husband, it has been 32 working days since Biometrics. I have not yet received the documents from them. I emailed them yesterday and below is the reply I received. Any ideas on how long I could expect a reply in? Or what the outcome may be?

"Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that your application GWF(ref omitted) is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.

Please note that we aim to complete 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the application date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application date (where 1 week is 5 working days).

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

Kind Regards,
UK Visas and Immigration"

That is a generic response to all emails, I found it better to call them. I sent docs on 29th March and the visa got approved and collected today by my wife. Ring them on Monday and they will escalate this for you as it's been over 30 working days.

Thank You for your Reply Wak9001! Congratulations on your wife's visa really pleased for you!! When did you call, were you in the same situation had it been over 30 working days for yourself? I sent my documents on 27th March and not yet had those back, really worried.

I agree, I think a phone call is better - more immediate response, and the staff can potentially tell you more. When I hadn't had a response in two weeks, I called, let them know my situation, and the very next day I got a confirmation email - a coincidence maybe, but at least it felt like I'd had some effect.

Thank you :) I called on Tuesday before the 30 days just to see if anything had been done, I was told it's still awaiting decision. My 30 days are up this coming Tuesday, so in total mine was done within 27 working days. If you ring and over 30 working days, they will escalate your case and hopefully you get an answer soon.

I called them today and they have escalated the case. They said I should expect to hear back in 15 working days. I still haven't had the documents back (posted 27th March 2018 - priority application) could this mean anything?

I'm still also waiting and in my 7th month now. Have escalated the case 4 times no use. Have involved MP no use. Dont worry. You are not the only one and delay doesnt mean negative.

Hi everyone below is the timeline of my wife’s application:-
Online Application Submitted - 1st February 2018
Biometrics Appointment - 19th February 2018
Non-Priority Application
Documents sent to Sheffield
Email received from UKVI - 6th March 2018 - “Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre..ECO etc”
Nothing since then

I wanted to ask if anyone on this forum had their biometrics before or after the 19th Feb? And where they are with the waiting game? I’ll be grateful if people could comment on this and share their timeline so I get a rough idea.
