Hi All,

I thought I would post my timeline on here..

I am a British citizen and applied for a spouse visa for my husband in Tunisia.

Online Application Submitted + Paid Fees (non priority) - 14/05/2018
Biometrics Appointment - 24/05/2018
Sent Documents to Sheffield - 06/06/2018

I haven't received any emails yet to say they have the application...
However, from looking at all of your timelines I realise it may be a while until I receive any acknowledgement!!
You will receive it this month.

Hi,
I would like to share my experience with you and I hope it might help some.
I gave my biometrics on Oct 16th 2017 and only got the visa today. It took around 8 months for them to process the visa. I received a non straightforward email on 4th of January 2018. We tried every way we could in this 8 months. We escalated tge case for 6 times but no use. We contacted the MP on April 18th 2018 and he told us he will send a letter. However we are not sure whether he sent or not. After 20 working days we asked the MP whether he got any reply and he said no. Later he said he will talk with the Immigration MP or Minister. On June 6th we recieved a email from MP confirming that he has written to the Home office. On June 7th we made a complaint through the online system mentioning our timeline. They take 20 working days to respond to a complaint. On June 25th we got an email from Visa sheffield saying that they can assure that our application is dealt and will make a decision in the coming days. It was sent as a reply to our contact centre enquiry which we didnt make. Yesterday I got a message from VFS to collect the passport and today I collected and got the Visa. It was a long wait. We were stressed, we lost our patience and were even planning to withdraw the application. However finally we got it. I dont know which helped us the complaint or the MP s letter. So try all the ways possible and be patient and dont lose hope. You will all get your visas eventually and I hope and pray it comes soon.

Great news, I hope they contact you asap!
Do you mind telling me where you applied from?
I might be wrong, but are there different waiting timescales for different countries?
I haven't found any recent timelines from Tunisian applicants so it's hard to estimate how long we may need to wait for it all to be processed :/

Hi,
I would like to share my experience with you and I hope it might help some.

Could you please share the online complaint link please. Thank u

Hi Nabeela

Biometrics 12th April
Non priority and on the 12th week 60working days today. Called contact centre today and was told Decision has been made. Waiting to be contacted by Visa centre now.
Great news, I hope they contact you asap!
Do you mind telling me where you applied from?
I might be wrong, but are there different waiting timescales for different countries?
I haven't found any recent timelines from Tunisian applicants so it's hard to estimate how long we may need to wait for it all to be processed :/
It’s my 30th working day also haven’t heard any thing yet either, I wouldn’t worry too much you should be hearing something soon.

I just went through my emails thoroughly and guess what.. I found the email from them!! I can't believe I didn't notice it before! It was received on the 15th June! I hope you receive yours soon!

FINAL UPDATE!!!

Online Application Completed: 10/04/2018
Bio-metrics taken: 13/04/2018
Documents sent to Sheffield: 19/04/2018
Documents received at Sheffield: 20/04/2018
Email from UKVI: 26/04/2018 - Your application has been received at UKVI and is being prepared for the Entry clearance Office.
Sponsor contacted by UKVI (if applicable): Yes 11/05/2018. 15mins call. Called employer same day in the afternoon
Documents returned: Still Awaiting.
Decision made email from UKVI: Not Received
Decision made text from VFS : 05/07/2018 - Collected same day Alhumdulliah VISA GRANTED

So it took 57 Working days since Biometrics (2 bank holidays in between). I am still awaiting to receive documents back from Sheffield. InshaAllah those who are waiting will receive positive response. Did called UKVI call centre on 29th June for status update and no decision was made but on 2nd July the decision was made as headed on the accompanying letter received with passport collection.
