Adam as CR001 wrote, is slightly different for self employer. Consult with a lawyer if u really earned what u had to earn and if u really paid tax for it u must be fine. I know that if u have the right documentation to give them while appealing they will overturn the decision. About 2 months it takes for them to notice your appeal and maximum 1 to 3 months to overturn it and it only cost £140. Cheaper than applying again. Go to a lawyer with the refusal papers and all your financial related documents to find out.
Good luck

Worst case scenario we wait 120 days / 6 months and then they really will need to pull their socks up. I've been emailing the email centre lately and surprisingly getting replies within one minute - emailed back and forth but it's literally useless automated replies ! Shows they have no idea and are just copying and pasting generic phrases. Nabeela how did u find out the info about the tax check. Did you call?

Adam as CR001 wrote, is slightly different for self employer. Consult with a lawyer if u really earned what u had to earn and if u really paid tax for it u must be fine. I know that if u have the right documentation to give them while appealing they will overturn the decision. About 2 months it takes for them to notice your appeal and maximum 1 to 3 months to overturn it and it only cost £140. Cheaper than applying again. Go to a lawyer with the refusal papers and all your financial related documents to find out.
Good luck

Dear Adam, am not a lawyer and am afraid if u rely only on my advice and it does not go well. What I know for sure is If u really paid the tax enough for the minimum requirement of your earning and provide the proper document to prove it. In the rejection paper it’s written where on line u can file the appeal. There are forums about it too. Me personally appealed through my lawyer and just know that it takes place on line and u pay £140.
When I recommended to see a lawyer I meant: show him your papers related to your tax and job to make sure u have everything is needed and if something is missing u try to get it. And if the lawyer said u don’t meet the financial requirements, then u need to go for a job which meets the financial requirements and apply again after 6 months. I don’t know why lawyers told u to apply again? If u have meet the requirements at all or not?
In case u need a good lawyer I can send u private message with the contact of a very god d lawyer.
Good luck my friend

Hi Adam,
If your solicitor has advised you to re-apply I think he gave you the correct advise. If you made mistakes and did not provided proper documents. It Is best to re-apply because if you appeal it. It will more likely the judge will refuse it too, base on...you did not provided correct documents at the time of application you made. You appeal it when you think ECO made mistakes or refused on unreasonable ground. Good luck!

Good luck

Neither of you have access to the privilege of the PM function yet.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!
Please DO NOT send me a PM for immigration advice. I reserve the right to ignore the PM and not respond.
