Hi,incy
Is your application PRIORITY?
Yeah it is priority.
The passport is on its way to my partner so we will find out the decision soon enough.

Hello Everyone...

This is my first post. It feels only right to give back to this forum after reading so many posts.

This is my timeline:

Visa Type: Spouse and Child Visa (settlement)
Application from: Jalandhar, Punjab, India
Submitted Application: 28th Sept 2018
Paid Application Fee: 28th Sept 2018
Service: Non-priority
Biometrics: 3rd Oct 2018
Post Documents to Sheffield: 10th Oct 2018
Further Supporting Documents: 16th Oct 2018
Received all documents back: 12th Nov 2018
Received IHS email: 14th Nov 2018
Paid IHS: 16th Nov 2018
SMS Visa Processed & Delivery: 20th Dec 2018
Decision: TOMORROW!

57 days.

It really has been a waiting game this year. Hope tomorrow's result is what we have been waiting for. At the best of times you lose faith but my prayers are with you all for the perfect outcome, because that's what god is. SAT NAAM (Truth is the name)

We gave over and beyond what was required by HO. To the extent of acquiring signed statements from my bank manager. HO wanted latest payslips and chat messages. All provided in abundance. No interview call.

Will keep you posted. Everyone's time will come. Bless you all and mankind.

We are currently waiting for a decision. Timeline so far;

Visa type: Settlement, Fiancé
Online application submitted: 02/11/18.
Biometrics appointment: 07/11/18 in Kuala Lumpur
Documents sent to Sheffield: 12/11/18. Had to wait for my partners IELTS and TB results to get here as he posted them right after the appointment, if we had known prior to the appointment that they didn't need to look at them he would have sent them to me sooner.
Confirmation of online application email: 16/11/18
Documents returned with supporting letter from UKVI: 15/11/18.

I had a missed delivery card from the Royal Mail because a parcel needed signing for, I couldn't get to the sorting office until today (19/11/18) and have been wondering what it is all weekend and thinking that it must be the documents because I am not expecting anything else that needs to be signed for. I was shocked they had sent the documents back so quickly and thought that maybe there had been some kind of mistake and they had been returned without being looked at, but there is a letter from UKVI included saying they have retained copies of them and we would be contacted if any further information is required.
Update;

11/12/18: Email request came through as for wage slips and work letter, it was in the original pack so I assume they have lost them. They only wanted scans so that was easy.
13/12/18: Telephone interview. One person rang me, another rang my fiance, at the same. Questions were pretty straight forward, asking about our relationship, what we done when we were together, how we keep in touch since he went back to Malaysia, each others hobbies, favourite food.. that sort of thing.
Afterwards we found out that we our answers to what the favourite food is didn't quite match up, but I am not sure how much that will go against us.

Still waiting for a decision.
Further update.

Email from VFS on 19/12/2018.
The processed visa application for GWF reference number - GWF********** was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 12/19/2018 .
If a courier service was purchased from VFS Global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address.
If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times.

Thank you.
We had no idea what the decision was until he got his passport back. There was no letter with the passport, just the vignette stamp in the passport.

I understand your frustration my wife applied in May 2018 and only last week was granted visa so you just have to try keep calm and MP doesn't seem to have much control over the situation.

We had our joint interview last week and it has now been 9months of waiting since biometrics. I was interviewed on phone and husband on video both at the same time. Has anybody had any experience of this and how long they have taken to get back with a decision.

The person on the phone mentioned that this would be the final thing needed and I should hear back quite quickly but it just makes me nervous all this waiting.

Would anyone also be able to clarify that under the eco guidance that it states if you are going to refuse no interview should be conducted and it was also mentioned on the phone all background checks and paper work has been checked and this interview was clearly done to ask how well we know each other which I can without a doubt state we know each other inside out which is why interview went very smoothly. So if I was going to get refused an interview would not need to take place ?

Can you please tell us what question thy asked u and ur partner?

Questions were very simple. Anyone who is in a geniune marriage would be able to answer them. I was just worrying uneccesarily if you know and love your partner truely theres no reason to even talk about the interview. We didnt even mention it when chatting as we wanted our answers to be from the heart. By the grace of God i feel he is my soulmate and we will be reunited very soon. It is the wait that is killing me.

These are the exact words I received for each of the 4 escalations I had done and then after 7 months since biometrics they made their decision.

I had a look at all the paperwork I had submitted for my wife and realised just how much information there is to process by HO. First big requirement would be whether your relationship is genuine and for that HO needs to be so thorough and require so much evidence. This is only been made worse by the few from countries such as India and Pakistan who have abused the system thus leading to such stringent measures by HO.

The second, financial requirement where accuracy of data is so vital that few pence here and there in your payslips and bank can lead to refusal. The political environment that is currently makes it even worse for us as lot of focus is on reducing net migration to the UK.

If your relationship is not clear cut to the HO and if your financial requirements are not straight forward you can expect delays in your application.

I personally applied for my wife under category B with having changed my jobs 2 times in the last 6 months. This coupled with the fact that India is considered high fraud country, I therefore realise now why they took so long.

It really is hard waiting for a decision. I've been waiting since January 2018 with nothing. They made my husband do his biometrics again in October and they sent his passport back because the old one had expired and asked for a new one he gave new passport bak 3 days later. And now I recieved a full refund for ihs. I'm confused. My life is turning upside down and my kids r hurting my ill daughter especially. I wish theybwouldnt do this to us. It hurts so bad and home office people don't seem human to me. They don't realise how many lives they put at stake because of this. If i get refused after waiting nearly a year I'll be devastated. Because I heard when u get full refund they refuse ur case. I wish this isn't the case for me. Please please keep me in ur prayers.
