Hi,

Just adding our status to the list.

Online application made on 16th May 2019
Biometric attended by spouse on 20th May
Supporting documents submitted on 21st May
Case Handler acknowledgement on 19th June

'Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the submission date' - Not sure if our 12 weeks started on the 19th of June, or in May when we completed our online application/submitted our documents.

Hi. I’m new here but following the thread.

Hi, Chapterixx.

Just want to ask for any updates as Ive seen your timeline and we’re almost the same date of biometrics. Thanks!
Hi,

My husbands’ biometrics was the 16th of May.
He received the decision email yesterday, followed by collection email.
He picked up his passport today and the visa was granted - Glory be to God.

You should hear back from them anytime this week or next week. It is well. I pray everyone waiting would hear from HO soon.

Chapterixx,

I would say give it another two days.
My husband’s decision letter was actually dated 30/07/19 (so the decision was made 53 working days) but TLS didn’t contact my husband to pick up passport until Monday 05/08/19.

We are just worried about the passport. We had the PDF email now 4 days ago (2 working days), but no clue as to when her passport can be collected. We have not been informed by VFS collect?

any update with your visa yet? By law HO should consider conclude your application within 120 working days MAX... ‘Complex’ cases must still be decided and despatched as soon as possible. They should normally be decided within 120 working days. This infomration is from the FOI (FREEDOM OF INFOMRATION)

Application from Kingston Jamaica
Online application date: 27/5/19
Biometrics: 29/5/19
Non priority
Email of application recieved: 8/6/19
And I have heared nothing since. I haven't recieved my documents back from Sheffield yet either and I haven't recieved no phone calls as I am the wife and sponsor. Plus my employment or my landlord hasn't heared a thing either. Is this something I should be worried about.

No you shouldn't be worried, because you still on the 11th Week. A decision will normally be made within 60 working days (12 weeks). if they don't make a decision during that period, they will normally email you and say that your case is not straightforward (trust me its a lie and bullsh**, it's a generic email they sent because they couldn't make decision within that period) , this is normally sent on 60th working day. wait till next week and i'll advice you DO NOT email or phone them (waste of money), becuase they are useless, it's not the home office or the UKVI that we speak to, its an agency workers employed by the home office and they only tell you what HO has written in the system, it's best to wait.. we are in a worst situation than you trust me, we applied in 18 April 2019 and we still haven't recieved a decision and it's been 16 weeks :-(

May Allah make it easy for me, you and everyone waiting In sha allah :( .. sometimes a decision might have been made, but VFS sometimes don't email or phone as they might be closed, especially if you applied from an islamic country where VFS might be closed for EID for the next couple of days (im assuming this, but not 100% sure)

UPDATE!:
1st of August: no contact made by the home office, nor did my husband receive anything regarding his visa, so we was a little upset thinking how much longer will it take as the HO said we should get a response by the 1st

5th of august: our solicitor sends an email to HO enquiring about our case and how much longer will it take

7th of august: solicitor receives email our application is processed and to wait future.

8th of august: my husband receives a call and text from Mirpur to come and collect his passport where he had submitted it.

9th of august: Alhamdulillah, my husband is granted his visa! I will definitely keep everyone in my prayers, who are all waiting for a positive response as i know how hard and disheartening this whole process is!

I would say: i have no regrets in applying for a priority Visa... it cuts your waiting time down to half! And if the home office dont deliver in that time, you have the opportunity to use your priority time scale and be on their case persistently to get them to give you a faster response. And secondly don't hesitate in emailing and calling the home office again and again! It really is worth it... after all you pay so much and what's another 2-300£s on emails and calls, if it helps the ECO hurry up!
