I would, I plan on calling them on my 30th waiting day (priority) if I have not heard anything. My 30th day is this Thursday.

Did you apply for priority or non-priority? if you applied priority they will get back to you with a decision within 30 working days (6 weeks) from biometrics (but also depends on your case if its straightforward or not).

if you applied through non-priority, they will get back to you with a decision within 60 working days (12 weeks) from biometrics. hope that answers your question :)

good luck
applied for non priority n m worried my husband not received any email from eco yet 😔😔😔
Nothing to worry about, its still too early for that yet, its only been 7 weeks

Hello beautiful people,

I put a call to UKVI and got informed that a decision has been made, and i will get an email.

Please will this email come from UKVI or TLScontact to get my passport?

Will it be one or 2 emails from each of UKVI and TLScontact?

Thanks for anticipated responses.

My son is due to start school on 4th September, would it help in attaching his offer letter to my email?

My pleasure :-) .... No don't phone or email them yet, becuase it will be useless trust me, they will tell you to phone back after 5 weeks, wait until then and if you don't hear anything from them after 5 weeks, give them call to get an update on your application if you want. May allah make it easy for you.. pray for our visa, we been waiting 17 weeks now

any update with your visa yet? By law HO should consider conclude your application within 120 working days MAX... ‘Complex’ cases must still be decided and despatched as soon as possible. They should normally be decided within 120 working days. This infomration is from the FOI (FREEDOM OF INFOMRATION)
Hi redcarpet, 125 WD AND NO NOTHING !! I haven’t heard anything back from them except the generic email “awaiting decision”... I am really very super worried, sick to my core of having to wait OVER 125 WORKING DAYS for them to decide 😫😢 Please keep me in your prayers everyone, i really need them ! 🤲🏻

If you didn't get a decision then I advise you to firstly inform your MP (if you havn't done so yet), then send an email complaining about the service and that you been waiting more than the maximum amountof time to process your application. this is their email .. complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk

if you are the applicant state that you are the applicant and if you are not the applicant, home office wont give out any information (due to data protection act 2018) without the applicant authority, so you will need to ask the applicant to write a letter of authority to authorise the sponsor to act on the applicant behalf. You both will need to sign the paper and email it with your complaint to the home office. They then have to get back to you within 20 working days

I will tell you this from the research i've done, i have found out that the UKVI that we call are not the people who are dealing with our visas, they are an agency call centre that the home office employed to deal with the calls and emails. They only tell us, what the ECO has put in the systém next to our GWF number, so the operator only reads what's written on the screen, that's why we don't get much information from them and they are useless...

in regards to your call on the evening, the call centre are 24 hours. give it till tomorrow and hopefully youll get a decision and youll be there before your son starts school.. good luck :-)

Documents scanned to UKVI: 18 April 2019
Text from VFS stating documents has been sent to UKVI: 19 April 2019
Email from Sheffield stating "Your Application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer: 6 June 2019
Email from UK decision making centre stating: Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets: 12 July 2019 (sent on the 60th working day)
Phoned Local MP: 15 July 2019
Decision Made Email: TBC

75 working days since biometrics and still no decision

I’ve sent them a paid email on 17 July 2019 asking for an update on why it’s not straightforward, I got a reply on 24 July 2019 “ your application has been escalated to the relevant team and there should be a reply within 15 working days?
Then on 30 July 2019 got another email stating “The processing of this application has not been straightforward. We continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we able to. We cannot give a timescale for when a decision will be made.
(This is the 2nd not straightforward email within couple of weeks from the first not straightforward email) I feel like this email is for them to buy themselves more time to decide on the application
what i don't understand is what’s so not straightforward about my case, the solicitor checked it before it was submitted and she said it looks like a straightforward case all the requirements are there, but I just don't understand what’s going on. I'm scared after all those days waiting, pain and stress it gets refused for a stupid reason.

Can someone tell me if they received this type of email before? If they did how long did it take UKVI to process your visa after that? And wither it was granted or refused? If refused what was the reason??
UPDATE!! :-(

Sent an email asking for an update: 14 August 2019

Email recieved from Decision making centre Sheffield 15 Ausgust 2019:

Thank you for your enquiry received 14 August 2019 regarding your visa application.

Unfortunately, this application is subject to extended checks and the time taken to receive the results of these checks are outside of our control. We are unable to divulge the nature of the checks and whilst we appreciate the delays are frustrating, UKVI policy and procedures must remain intact.

We can only apologise for the delays experienced, but as advised, this is outside our control; please be assured that the application will be progressed as soon as we are in a position to do so. I relation to the priority service paid for, I can confirm that the application has been treated as the same since submission, unfortunately, as stated above, checks are currently being carried out and we cannot provide a timescale for when these will be completed.

not looking good at all :-(

My fiancé is from Mexico and applied for marriage settlement. He completed biometrics 12/04/2019. Received email stating that they are making a decision: 03/06/2019. Called to enquire the status of application 22/06/2019 and received an email on 25/06/2019 stating that they are still working on making a decision. It has now been 87 working days, 18 weeks since he completed biometrics. Anyone else still waiting since April?
