May I ask please? Did you get this email before from the homeoffice?

"As we have previously advised, the processing of this application has not been straightforward. Prior to making a decision on an Entry Clearance application, a number of mandatory checks need to be completed in both the applicant’s home country and the UK. Although we aim to decide all applications within our published service standards, this is not always possible as the length of time taken to complete these checks is dependent on the individual circumstances of each case."

We submitted the application for spouse visa on the 20th September. Biometrics 25 September. Documents posted to Sheffield scanning hub 26 September.
20 October email received stating application has been received and is being prepared for consideration. Nothing since. On checking tls contact centre and tracking information yesterday it said transferred to vac which I think means a decision has been made. But no email or call or text has been received.

In order to track your application, you have to log onto gov.uk and it will redirect you to the relevant commercial partner whether its TLS or VFS and then you can track it and check the progress. If you used a lawyer they will do this for you.

Dear All,
Wanted to thank all members who have posted their experience and timeline associated with UK Spouse/Settlement Visa . Sharing my details below and hope it is useful for some of you

Please find my complete timeline below:
Citizen : India
Priority Visa
Spouse Settlement Visa applied at VFS Melbourne : 8th April 2019
Visa refused due to Financial reason with right to appeal given: 3rd June 2019
Appeal Lodged: 17th June 2019 with additional documents
We were advised by most of the immigration agents to go for fresh application as they mentioned that appeal process is time consuming and might go for over a year.

Original Decision Withdrawal email received from ICQAT: 11th October 2019
Email received from Visa Info Sheffield with information on IHS payment :15th October 2019
IHS Payment needed email from Visa Info Sheffield :18th October 2019
IHS Payment completed and informed UKVisa Sheffield on : 23rd October 2019
Email from VisaInfo Sheffield to submit passport : 25th October 2019
Passport submitted to VFS Melbourne :1st November 2019
Confirmation that processing complete via SMS : 20th November 2019
Passport collected from VFS :22nd November 2019
Reached London :23rd November 2019
Collecting BRP :28th November 2019

Overall timeline including appeal for Priority : 8 months
I think if documentation was perfect I should have got visa in 3 months.

In between I made numerous calls and sent emails to understand the status of application, from my experience it is better to follow up over emails with UKVI.
lessons learnt :Stay patient, ensure paperwork is perfect -- follow up regularly, am sure you will get a positive outcome

Good luck !
