Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General dependent Urgent

Dear Expert,

I need your advice for switching to Tier 2 General Dependent visa within UK.

I am on Tier 2 ICT Long term Visa since Aug 2015 with a valid sponsorship till Sep 2018. But I am planning for switching to Tier 2 General Dependent Visa (My spouse is applying Tier 2 General visa on this month) so that I can look for alternate employment in the UK without any sponsorship requirement.

1. If I don't resign and simply make the Visa application now will my Visa status change directly to Tier 2 Gen Dependent from the Tier2 ICT without involving my existing employer in the UK? Can i resign later when I receive the offer from the next employer?

2. After getting Tier 2 General dependent visa, how many months I'm eligible to work with my existing employer? Is there any condition I need to inform my employer about my visa changes?

3. In general, is there any issue if I continue to work for my existing employer till I find my new employment with the Tier 2 Gen Dependant Visa instead of the original T2 ICT Visa?

4. How will curtail leave come into effect if I switch my Visa?

1. Once ypur dependent visa is granted your ICT is automatically cancelled by HO. No involvement by current employer. You can resign whenever you choose to.

2. However lo g you want but it does fee d if your employer wants to keep you. You must notify your employer that your visa has changed and provide them with updated copies etc.

3. No issue but again depends on your employer.

4. There is no curtailment if you switch visas.
