Tier 2 Dependent Visa Document Checklist.

Hello Everyone on this forum,

I am currently in UK and on Tier 2 General Visa.

I am going to apply for my wife visa as my dependent who is in India at the moment.

Could you please help me with the list of documents that I have to submit for my wife dependent Visa.

We have made a checklist and wondering if we are missing something on our list.

So as per my understanding below is the list of documents that should submitted with the application;

1. Tier 2 dependent visa application form
2. Recent photographs
3. Dependent's (wife's) passport
4. Photocopies of my passport(s) (Tier 2 holder)
5. Photocopy of my Tier 2 BRP (Tier 2 holder)
6. Letter from my employer about my employment (contains my name, job title, salary, job start date on employer letterhead)
7. Recent 3 month payslips
8. My UK bank statements (3 month, min balance £1500 held for 3 months)
9. My rental agreement
10. Our marriage certificate
11. Wife's IELTS Certificate
12. Wife's TB medical report
13. Council Tax Bill


Also do we also need to submit my Old COS Certificate which was issued to me by my company 2 year back ? or just the BRP Card copy is enough.

Please help me on this with your valuable feedback.

Here is the list of documents.

1. Original passport
2. Photocopy of Tier 2 BRP and passport
3. Proof of marriage:
4. Wedding photographs, wedding invitation card(If you have but not necessary )
5. Last 3-month bank statement (must have £630 available in 90 days)
6. Evidence of accommodation in the UK (rental agreement)
7. Criminal record checks
8. Letter from my employer about my employment (contains name, address, job title, salary, job start date on employer letterhead)
9. Recent 3-month payslips
10. TB medical report

I do not think so she requires IELTS and also BRP card is more than sufficient.

I don't see any documents proving your relationship with your wife

Provide documents as below (You can add more docs if required)

* Marriage photos
* Emails/Facebook chat or messages
* Skype call logs
* your ticket to India confirming your attendance
* Marriage hotel or any sort of confirmation receipt
* Any pics taken after marriage



Remember most of the visa are refused because of lack of evidence for geniune relationship

My wife got the TB Test done last week and on the TB Report its says Tier 2 General in Visa Category Section.

So is that Ok ? or its should say as Tier 2 General Dependent, in Visa Category Section and does that really matter.

Could you please share your thoughts on this.

I am also currently in UK, and applying for my wife and kids. Couple of doubts I have on the checklist you have shown.

I am in UK for last one month only. I will have only one payslip currently. Can I show my bank account savings in India for the purpose. I may be bugging you. Sorry
But any useful hints help me a lot.

Yes, you can show any bank account in India or UK for last 90 days.
