Message Recieved from VFS settlement application

Post by Queen19 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 8:02 pm

Hi ,

I recently applied for a settlement application last 14th of June,
And today I received a message stating that my documents are ready for collection,
But it doesn't mention if it's approved or not?

Can anyone answer me what does it means? They didn't ask me for any other documents or they didn't even call me for any interviews. How does a settlement or fiancé visa really work ? We have booked our wedding in UK this December but I am not sure if I have been approved or not . It makes me nervous really

many thanks
Queen

There is never any indication given in the email as to whether the visa application has been approved or refused. You will only find that out when the passport is collected.

You say that you don't intend to marry in the UK until December. What issue date did you request on the application?

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

We have applied August 21st travel requested as we have appointment to the civil registry on 2nd September. I received a mail also last night stating below

Dear xxxx

The processed visa application for GWF reference number - was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on 7/6/2017 5:48 PM.
If a courier service was purchased from VFS Global, your processed application will be delivered to the chosen address.

If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times.

Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT
reply to this email.

What does it means ?

It means it can be collected. It does not mean it is approved. The email is quite clear on what it means.
