Qualifying period rules

Post by palnag » Fri Jul 07, 2017 4:25 pm

Hi, I am planning to apply for British Citizenship next month based on 5 years qualifying period. My first year of qualifying period I had Tier 2 dependent visa and was still working in France, returning to the UK every weekend. I meet 450 days absences rule but I have a question regarding "Reason for travel". Will it be ok to state that I was travelling a lot for business in 2012-2013 although I was not working in the UK. Can it be suspicious for Home Office or be a reason for refusal? Do I need to wait another year and apply in July 2018 as I started to work in the UK in July 2013?
