Holiday visa for Thai national

Good afternoon,

I'm a UK national currently residing in Western Australia.

I'm hoping to bring my Thai partner over to the UK for a holiday (3 to 4 weeks) in April 2018.

She does not have permanent residency status in Australia at this time and would be travelling on her Thai passport.

Could anyone advise as to what the current turn around times would be for a Thai national obtaining UK visitor/tourist visas and if there are any particular pit falls or things to avoid when applying?

Not at the moment, but she will be from the end of August.

It's likely that she would be travelling to the UK from Thailand
