Stateless travel document, nervously waiting

Hi. I applied for a statless travel documnent and sent all my ID and my families passport to the HO. We haven't got anything back from them more then a letter stating that they have rescieved the application. How long time does the progress usually take? I am worried about all my documents being with the home office for such a long time. Since mars.
Any input or advice is appreciated.
