Want step father to come to UK to financially help me

I have seen many posts on bringing parents to the UK because they need looking after, but how do I bring my stepfather over to help care for me? He is a widow for sevwral years now and is in his 70s with not a lot of companionship. I am a UK citizen but I am on benefits due to my health. He would help me financially by paying rent. He has a good pention and is in relatively good health (better than me). My husband is 100% with the idea but I have no idea where to start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Virtually no chance, especially a step parent, i.e. not a blood relative/parent. If you choose to apply and he is refused, you close the door to any future visitor visas.

Your application may also be rejected on the basis that nothing prevents your stepfather from helping you financially by transferring the money to your bank account.
